The Wall Street Journal had an article 2 days ago, Fatty Liver Disease: More Prevalent in Children.

We know that Fatty Liver Disease is growing like an epidemic. Its currently the 3rd leading cause of liver transplants, and is predicted to eventually be #1.

100 years ago, we only took in about 15 grams of fructose per day. Today, the average adolescent consumes 73 grams per day.

73 grams per day!

Hello WHAT?

However, there is no mention of the fact that fructose can only be metabolized by the liver. That means *ALL* the fructose in your diet goes into your liver. Glucose, on the other hand, can be used in *EVERY* human cell in your body!

Where is this increase coming from? Table sugar is 50% fructose. Corn Syrup is 55% fructose. These two additives are in sooooo many packaged, processed food and drinks.

To me, the connection to sugar is so obvious, its ridiculous.

So why is this connection just barely mentioned?

“Much of the current research has focused on genes and specific nutrients in the diet that might cause the disease.”

That’s the problem. They are looking for genes, instead of the underlying issue:

TOO MUCH FRUCTOSE (table sugar)!!

Just eat real food.
